Glenwood Springs

This is the lodge we stayed at. When we got there..... That is the key..... It was a seven hour trip just to get there!! The snow was horrid. This was a girl scout trip that I thought oh it will be nice to soak in hot water when it is so cold outside. That part was nice, but the roads to and from were not to be desired. This is what we saw when we drove in.. it was so inviting.
The water tasted and smelled gross, but the water was wonderful. We swam for hours in the warm water. It is really something to jump from the diving board with freezing cold feet into warm bath water.

This is a picture of all the girls that we took up. It was a fun trip and I would recommend it to everyone.

Birthdays

So, Brian is celebrating his 43rd Birthday on thursday. I have the hardest time rembering his birthday, so he gives me a lot of grief about it. So this year, I didn't forget, but my Girl Scout troop planned a trip to the hot springs. Not on his brithday exactly, but poor guy is spending the weekend alone. Well, I think he is going over to mom's to help her with some stuff. Anyway send a big shout out to Brian for his birthday which is on the 22nd of January!! I love you big guy!!

Enrichment

Tonight I went to Enrichment (for church) and what a blessing it turned out to be. I tend to be prickly and ready to point out what I don't like. Fortunately the Young Women leaders that were there listened thru the prickly stuff and really listened to me. I don't know if it will make a difference for my girls, but I hope so. Life is hard, and I am thankful to four women and a Bishop who listened to me tonight, and who do make a difference. I have a hard time putting thoughts into words and I am grateful for those women who let me get the thoughts out. Hugs and loves to everyone on this cold foggy night. 152
